Cut your energy bill up to 1/3rd
We appreciate that while London is alive with various cultural sights and sounds, it can also be an expensive place to live.
That's why we're committed to making Londoners aware of how easy it is to save money by reducing their energy consumption. So far, we've helped Londoners save around £16 million* on their energy bills!
Whether you're a homeowner or a renter, it's easy to cut down on the amount of energy you use.
By doing this you could save around £196.60** a year.
If you are a homeowner, try installing loft and cavity wall insulation, a condensing boiler or energy saving light bulbs - a small outlay could result in big savings over the year.
It's great to think that just a few adjustments could make such a difference to your pocket!
- Switch off lights when you don't need them.
- Turn off the TV and DVD player at the mains (rather than leaving appliances on standby)
- Only boil as much water as necessary for a cup of tea.
Top Tips This Winter
- Don't wait until the worst of the winter weather before investing in Cavity Wall or Loft Insulation. They could save you up to 33% on your heating bills.
- Shorter days means we use the lights more. Switch to Energy Saving Bulbs which last up to 12 times longer and you could save £7 a year on your electricity per bulb.
- Ask yourself do you really need your central heating set to 25 degrees? Turning your thermostat down just 1 degree could save you around £49 a year.
STAR TIP - Choose Paperless Billing and you can still pay for your energy in the same way as you do now. The difference is you'll receive your energy bills online instead of by post, saving you hassle, putting an end to estimated bills and of course saving paper too.
