Home Emergency Plus Cover

Home Emergency provides emergency and permanent repairs to your home covering roof damage, glazing damage, damaged locks, lost or stolen keys and pest infestation. What's more, it's available for just £4.95 a month.

British Gas Home Emergency Plus Cover will cover you if you experience a sudden unexpected event that:
  • Exposes you or a third party to a risk to your health,
  • Necessitates immediate remedial action to render your home safe or secure from break in or from the elements,
  • Renders your home uninhabitable
Summary of Cover Price
  • The provision of the service of a locksmith in the event of the theft, loss or breakage of the keys to the main access doors to your property or if the keys are accidentally locked in your property
  • Glazing repairs following damage caused to your external windows as a result of a break-in, vandalism, storm or impact damage
  • Glazing repairs following accidental impact damage caused by you or a member of your household
  • Removal of wasp and hornet nests, field and house mice, brown and black rats and cockroaches from your property
  • Roofing repairs as a result of damage caused by a storm or impact damage
  • The provision of financial assistance towards hotel accommodation and transport to that accommodation in the event that your property becomes uninhabitable as a result of an emergency. Up to £150 (inc VAT) per night for a maximum of 3 nights.
  • Up to £500 (inc VAT) per claim to a total of £2000 (inc VAT) over the policy term
